Hybridbox®: lowering carbon emissions through sophisticated engineering

During colder seasons, the Hybridbox® is capable of generating additional electricity to match the rising energy demand from conventional heat pumps in real time. Designed primarily for setup during heating renovations, the Hybridbox® is just as effective for new construction projects.

The Hybridbox® is the ideal solution to reduce CO2 output, if for example:

  • Reinsulating during renovations is impossible or
  • If doing so is economically unfeasible

When planning a buildings new energy infrastructure, taking the state of renovations and insulation into account is crucial.

Think of the Hybridbox® as a fully technological alternative to complete building shell renovation. The ability to either draw power from the grid or generate it independently as needed, makes the Hybridbox® the ideal centerpiece for sector coupling. The Hybridbox® is patented and available in two standard sizes.

The combination of these components in one assembly is patented. They work in precise unison, regulated by an intelligent purpose-built energy management controller to ensure a smooth and steady operation that meets the current energy requirements. Heat pump and cogeneration unit can run disjunct or in unison. Multiple parameters are taken into account when choosing a specific operational state, such as: Thermal demand, supply temperature, solar array power output, charge inside a battery storage or the current draw from a public power grid.
